JOB SUMMARY The Sr. Manager of Digital & Technology Governance is a dynamic leader who will be a key driver in matching processes and metrics to the transformative efforts underway in CBRE's Digital & Technology organization. S/he is a hands-on leader who will oversee a small team to improve processes and practices that demonstrate CBRE's global Digital & Technology organization is well-managed. While the right candidate will have the opportunity to tackle many process improvement projects, their initial focus will be on improving financial processes so, a strong financial background is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Your extensive experience in financial management, preferably for a Fortune 500 company, including operating and capital expense planning and budget management, will enable you to drive significant improvement in the organization's financial planning and management processes.
You're not afraid of change and challenging the status quo and will use your exceptional influencing ability to convince subordinates, peers, internal customers and stakeholders across the company to change the way they work and implement practices consistent with Digital & Technology's transformation. Knowledge of Agile software development will be a huge asset as you drive changes that align to an Agile way of working including, but not limited to, Agile team budgeting and capacity planning and shifting financial planning focus from projects to products.
Leveraging your business process improvement acumen and analytical skills, you'll be able to identify gaps in processes, make recommendations for improvement and create structured implementation plans. You will ensure procedures and standards are well documented. And, when you find a procedure that's not aligned with audit standards or controls, you'll make a plan and engage counterparts throughout the organization to reach compliance.
You recognize being well-managed is essential for an organization to achieve success. Your experience working with technology teams gives you unique insight into what metrics and key performance indicators are needed to ensure transparency and desired outcomes.
Through an intense customer focus, you'll enhance our governance systems and tools to make them seamless and user-friendly and ensure end-users' issues are troubleshooted and resolved. You'll also measure the effectiveness of the tools and seek to drive continuous improvement in performance and usability.
As an experienced leader, you'll be able to manage, coach, and train your team to imagine what's possible and create action plans to bring the possible to reality. You'll also be able to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously ensuring no detail is missed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within operational area. Responsible for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Finance or Business and a minimum of ten years of related experience and/or training, including 2-3 years of management level experience.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Business Process Management certification(s)
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees and senior executives. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires exceptional knowledge of financial terms, principles and best practices for technology organizations. Ability to calculate complex figures, forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing, matrix-based environment. Draws upon the analysis of others, challenges the status quo and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Business Process Improvement Experience Understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology Technical experience with SharePoint development a plus
