The Cancer Control Plan Project Analyst will lead at least two complex statewide collaborations between UC Davis Institute for Population Health Improvement (IPHI) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) California Dialogue on Cancer (CDOC) and the California Cancer Reporting and Epidemiologic Surveillance (CalCARES) Program. This position will ensure that project-specific goals, objectives, strategies, tactics, and performance metrics are met. In addition, this individual will also work with staff and partners to develop project material, lead workgroups, and make recommendations to reduce the cancer burden in California.REQUIRED-Project management experience; ability to ensure multiple staff and partners' efforts are synchronized to achieve project goals.-Experience managing databases and the Microsoft Office Suite.-Experience providing executive and management-level reports and make recommendations based on these reports.-Experience recommending solutions to problems of substantial complexity.-Experience communicating and managing stakeholder investment in project; including organizing and chairing meetings and/or conferences.-Basic accounting principles and knowledge as they apply to project management.-Experience preparing analysis and briefing documents and Power Point presentations.-Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex issues competently.PREFERRED-Bachelor Degree in Public Health or related field.-Knowledge of data collection, analysis, and data and statistical interpretation using quantitative and qualitative methods.-Working knowledge of policies and procedures regarding external research requests and analyzing project to ensure program complies with both UC Davis Health and State regulations.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT-Must be able to work flexible schedule and occasional overtime.-THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
