This clinical informatics position is responsible for ensuring that the processes, features and content provided in electronic health care tools serve the clinical care givers efficiently, effectively and safely. The position oversees the clinical content of and provider interface with Centura electronic health record tools, including order sets and decision support, by conducting gap analysis to identify opportunities to improve system and user efficiency. The scope includes provider order entry and provider documentation, and clinical decision support tools for all venues of care. The position manages content development, maintenance, and optimization; is a clinical resource for IT and evidence-based practice teams; interacts with Centura IT on technical details. The position supports system standardization and optimization, and will assist in creating a strategic plan for clinical content management in conjunction with theÂ CMIO, meeting CMS Conditions of Participation and other regulatory needs of Centura Health. The position will support clinical value transformation and other evidence-based practice strategies, the Clinical Integration and Standards Committee, and their customers, with the directed outcome of improving patient safety and care quality. This position will have extensive interaction with Centura medical staff, clinical leadership, corporate departments, and IT teams. 10-25% travel.Â
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
5 years of experience in healthcare setting, required
Experience with using electronic health records in clinical settings
Demonstrated ability to apply medical and scientific evidence to clinical processes
Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills
Experience and knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
Bachelor's degree, required
Masterâs degree with an emphasis on Informatics, preferred. Masterâs degree in PA studies and graduate of an accredited PA School, required for PAâs.
Active Colorado RN, APN or PA License, required
Epic Physician Builder or equivalent Epic systems modules certification, strongly preferred (required to obtain by the end of 12 months in the position.)
Active Colorado Driverâs License, required
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred
Physical Requirements - Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
