To coordinate and lead the activities and performance of staff members within a small team focused on implementing and supporting information technology solutions and services. The Leader will manage day to day functions, operational issues and projects for a clinical applications portfolio of systems and services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The team leader provides direct supervision of an operations team and is responsible for recruitment, retention, staffing plans, and staff performance.
Manages operational readiness of existing systems and services.
Helps to resolve barriers and conflicts (resource, timing, financial, sequencing) between multiple projects and project teams. Resolves issues before they become barriers to successful project implementations.
Develops and maintains effective lines of communication and relationships with IT leaders and staff, and appropriate CCHS leaders and staff to ensure IT department is delivering effective and efficient projects and services.
Leads organizational and departmental performance improvement activities
Identifies and pursues opportunities for continuing professional development to increase understanding of assigned areas, information technology direction, and healthcare direction.
Manages projects using CCHS-specific project management methodology to deliver technology that drives business/clinical benefit
Develops and manages budget for specific systems and projects.
Manages vendor relationships.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
4+ years of resource management experience.
4+ years of experience managing operational readiness for existing systems and/or new implementations.
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in a discipline related to the assigned area.
Experience in healthcare IT preferred.
4+ years of project management experience preferred.
ITIL Certification preferred
Working knowledge of Windows based servers and applications preferred.
