The ability to effectively manage regardless of organization, department and geographic boundaries is critical, as is previous experience managing remote staff outside the U.S.
Responsibility for oversight of the Business Units supply chain strategy to include supplier partnerships, establishment and management of relevant policies and procedures, objectives, and initiatives. Provide direction, leadership, and management of the procurement/sourcing of resources across the globe.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute long and short-term global sourcing strategies of high quality and low-cost materials, supplies, and equipment.
Lead, staff, coach and manage the Global Supply Chain team for the business including Demand Planning, Materials Management and Sourcing, domestically and in China.
Oversee the positive management of all supplier relationships; terminate and establish supplier relationships as appropriate.
Drive the business unit Sales & Ops reviews/processes to ensure alignment to maximize revenues.
Partner with product development to understand material, equipment, and manufacturing needs; review component technologies to ensure low cost, high quality, and long-term reliability.
Determine supply chain KPIs for cost, schedule and quality objectives and evaluation of current and potential supplier performance; partner with parent Internal Audit to manage supplier audit program.
Develop and maintain robust processes to improve demand planning, supply planning and in-bound tracking.
Develop and manage global sourcing processes and systems; implement proven best practices.
Ensure a robust evaluation of current and potential supplier partners.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers and ensure on-time delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of global sourcing and supply trends, standards, as well as legal and logistical considerations for global suppliers.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum Work Experience: Five to 7 years domestic and global supply chain experience within a CPG environment.
