Position Summary: Technology Delivery Services (TDS) is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Engagement Center's Integration Services, Scrum Masters/Technical Project Managers, and Quality Assurance teams. Use your organizational transformation and change management skills to further the department's shift into an agile and lean organization. Work with team members on their shared values, vision, strategy, skills and style that allow them to be successful in our new organization.

Duty 1: Manages the solution integration needs of UCOP and helps to establish priorities for feasibility studies on integration design and implementation. Implement software quality programs with test automation. Makes recommendations and implements decisions on matters concerning several functional areas, department and / or customers. Oversees the development and monitoring of resource schedules, staff FTE, finance, human resources and space planning that have department-wide impact. Lead and mentor team members in agile and lean methodologies, creating support and alignment across engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams. Apply agile methodologies and where appropriate advanced technical project management concepts with a firm understanding of the best practices to utilize in a given situation. Function:Integration Percent: 50
Duty 2: Manages diverse project assignments, monitors projects to ensure project deliverables are met and to clear and/or escalate roadblocks. May require hands on analysis for highly complex medium to large scale programs and projects. Interacts with all levels of personnel within TDS, from senior leadership to individual contributors, manages key interactions with stakeholders and end users to manage risk and ensure customer satisfaction. Highlights and recommends course of action for potential skill gaps due to the organizational transformation technically and culturally. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of multiple matrixed project teams. Function:Project Management Percent: 30
Duty 3: Oversees analysis and policy / guidelines development for issues and processes. Recommends changes to department / section policies / guidelines and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. Function:Process Improvement Percent: 20
Job Requirements Extensive knowledge of working with cross-functional teams delivering complex and multi-dimensional solutions.

Develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the team who provide decision making, information, or support.

Extensive experience managing technical staff.
Experienced in leading change management activities and managing their impact across multiple units or departments.
Experience in the management of ongoing technology infrastructure acquisition and expansion, to include the identification and integration of suitable emerging technologies.
Thorough knowledge of technical concepts and basic operating principles of data communications, computer hardware, vendor IT products, and software.
Ability to understand the process involved to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied products for use within a large and complex technical environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical topics to large groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication. Required
