Reporting to the Associate Director, CMC E&W and EMBA, the Communications Specialist will manage the execution, operations and workflow of student-facing CMC communications for 2 key student populations-E&W and EMBA - across 3 campus locations. This position will leverage multiple communication channels to engage students and deliver insight to 3 distinct, yet overlapping, student segments. A key imperative will be, working with the Associate Director, to develop and execute a strategy to target the segments with a tailored, customized approach that tells the CMC story and reinforces our brand with students while delivering key messages. The Communications Specialist will effectively serve as a managing editor, managing the execution of the strategy through writing, scheduling, segmentation and sequencing of communications to the nearly 1,400 students in E&W and EMBA through various channels including, but not limited to: Canvas, Video, Web-based communication, Newsletters, E-mail, Slack, and External Social Media. The Communications Specialist will serve as the primary liaison for project management purposes on a wide range of communication initiatives. Within Kellogg, the Communications Specialist will be a key collaborator with all members of the E&W/EMBA CMC Team, the E&W Program Office and the EMBA Program Office (as well as other stakeholders) within Kellogg by optimizing the content and sequencing of all student communications.
Please Note: This position requires scheduled work on evenings and nights. Requires ability to travel to Miami campus when need arises.
Champions the design, development and execution of strategic communications plans .
Persuasively delivers new initiatives to Senior Administration written and verbally based on data-driven decisions.
Researches, recommends, and implements state-of-the art enhancements to communications approach.
Leverage segmentation insights of what influences and motivates students in the 3 segments to create/write/edit highly creative, compelling and targeted communications.
Owns responsibility for developing and managing communications schedule, trafficking, and approval process for communications across multiple channels.
Executes and manages the process of creating new pages, updating and maintaining current websites and/or social media channels for E&W and EMBA CMC.
Owns content communication delivery across various platforms including, but not limited to: Canvas, Kellogg Groups, CMS, Video, Web-based communication, Newsletters, E-mail, Slack, and External Social Media.
Measurement and Reporting
Responsible for creating and implementing metrics to measure the success of communications initiatives.
Utilize analytical techniques to enhance current initiatives and inform future initiatives.
Drives weekly and monthly reporting and measurement against the communications strategic goals.
Serve as a strategic partner to leaders, teams and functions across Kellogg, with a focus on building relationships and gathering insights to inform actions.
Closely partners with E&W and EMBA Program Offices on communications initiatives.
Partners with EW and EMBA CMC Employer Relations; targeting communication to appropriate student segments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
A master's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
At least 4 years of experience working in a Higher Education or fast-paced environment.
Experience in an environment in which written communications, proofreading and quality assurance are vital.
