Associate Director, Construction Service Center Procurement - (190000GZ)
University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is currently seeking an Associate Director, Construction Service Center Procurement. The selected candidate will oversee all activities related to procurement for construction service center. This position is responsible for setting direction and developing processes improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the construction and facilities procurement services provided to the service center.

Direct preparation of all construction procurements for University System of Maryland institutions in the Baltimore region.
Performs contract administration for all service center construction procurements and ensures compliance with related policies, laws and regulations.
Coordinate with the Associate Director, Construction & Facilities Procurement to share staff as needed.
Direct the service center supporting staff, including the establishment of daily work, performance standards, and schedules. Ensure work standards and schedules are effectively implemented in the department.
Develop and fosters relationships with key user organizations within UMB, the USM service center institutions, and with critical vendors and suppliers.
Resolve issues pertaining to all aspects of the procurement function such as bid meetings, specifications, contract terms, delivery issues, tax and freight charges and similar issues.
Communicate understanding and support of the organization's procurement goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors in related field
Experience: Seven (7) years of procurement, construction, or project management experience, including at least three (3) years of construction or construction procurement experience
Supervisory: Four (4) years of management or leadership experience
