ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide leadership and support to Fitness Manager, such as, virtual outreach, onsite event initiatives & medical fitness integration Design and deliver a physical activity and wellness program plan that is aligned with the strategic goals of both Premise Health and our client partner. Programs may include motivational programs, health promotion activities, screenings, recreational events, etc. Create and administer strategic program and marketing plan for remote & virtual services Assists in the development of innovative fitness programs and services Contribute to the Population Health team initiatives through our medical fitness integration programs Provide “Best of Class” customer service to all Fitness Center members. Provides exercise leadership expertise in the areas of supervised workouts, fitness testing, exercise prescriptions and group exercise instruction according to the latest American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Testing and Prescription guidelines (fitness testing and exercise prescription), AFAA (for group exercise) and Exercise Leadership, Fitness Floor Supervision, and Customer Service Standards Deliver fitness services which include; teaching group exercise classes, conducting fitness assessments and writing exercise prescriptions. Perform other related duties as assigned by the site manager Partner with fitness team and related departments to provide optimal performance of the Fitness Center to meet the needs and satisfaction of client Internal Company Facing Responsibilities: Provide oversight and staffing of company’s onsite employee fitness center; including orientations, exercise prescriptions, weekly group exercise classes and fitness center supervision during peak hours. Create an engaging, welcoming environment within the company’s onsite fitness center Collaborate with health center, health promotion and human resources/benefits teams to pilot health and fitness programs to company’s employee population BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education: S. in Exercise Science or related field or equivalent work experience. S. in Exercise Science or related field preferred. Personal Training or other certification from ACSM, NSCA, or NASM or similar preferred. Group Exercise Certifications such as Primary, Yoga, Zumba, etc. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the fitness industry Minimum of 2 years working in a corporate fitness and wellness center environment Minimum of 1 year of management experience or team leadership role Experience in designing and implementing worksite fitness programs to dispersed employee populations Experience with fitness center design/layouts and equipment selection recommendation preferred. Fitness center start-up experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Highly organized and detail oriented; project management experience a plus preferred. Strong computer skills: MS Office, experience with fitness center management software preferred. Ability to communicate and operate as part of a remote team preferred. Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills preferred. Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting.
