The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a successful market position for DAVIS through development, coordination, and maintenance of DAVIS’ Integrated Marketing Communications Strategy. This role ensures effective communication, brand compliance, and fosters seamless collaboration across all departments.
Essential Duties + Responsibilities
Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity and building relationships as exemplified in DAVIS core values
Champion the DAVIS culture
Ensure DAVIS’ brand identity; develop tactics which continually enhance the DAVIS brand, and demonstrably resonate with our internal and external clients
Collaborate with Pursuits team with time sensitive projects
Maintain and maximize personal membership and event participation with key industry and community organizations; Participate in community and education outreach efforts and events
Provide insight to the development of DAVIS’ corporate brand image / presentation of DAVIS
Represent high level, professional image of company to both internal and external clients
Develop connections and collaborate with other employees to maintain awareness of jobsite happenings, client/partner connections, and internal initiatives
Budget tracking + management for specific task areas
Measurement and analysis of marketing communications efficacy
Coordinate activity as outlined in the annual Integrated Marketing Communications Plan
Perform other duties as assigned
The Marketing Communications Coordinator will focus on one or more of the following disciplines:
Contribute to, monitor and maintain DAVIS’ website and intranet, coordinating real-time + engaging content which resonates with DAVIS employees, clients, and peers
Coordinate and monitor DAVIS’ social media presence + efficacy with timely + topical posts, photos, and news articles; coordinate content - work with all departments to ensure that all news is timely + topical
Coordinate external marketing + media tracking, including press coverage and advertising (i.e. how many hits on website, how many mentions within the industry, advertising efficacy)
Develop + track strategic award submissions (i.e. projects, initiatives, employees)
Collaborate with Marketing Communications Manager to assist with the process of maximizing each department’s communication efforts
Research and distribute news about DAVIS projects, awards, accomplishments, and personnel both internally and externally, in real time
Coordinate brand integration + manage production process for communication projects; collaborate to ensure that all job sites, signage, and custom promotional / brand materials meet DAVIS standards and are executed in a timely manner while maintaining quality
Coordinate DAVIS promotional items; monitor inventory, costs and results and make recommendations for changes
Assist Brand Design Manager with image portfolio ((i.e. project photography, infographic development, video production, image editing and internal photography planning (i.e. corporate headshots)
Champion DAVIS brand standards internally + externally through knowledge of the DAVIS style guide
Understand business plans to assist in achieving goals through business development efforts
Stay current on key corporate info; collect, analyze, and track current project, client, competitor, marketing, community outreach news + trends
Coordinate industry organization memberships; develop organization Champions to maximize DAVIS involvement
Coordinate external and industry event identification + calendar update, employee/client engagement + registration, and tracking
Coordinate internal + external company events (industry, client + brand events i.e. corporate ski trip, groundbreaking, topping out, project show + tell, Washington Business Journal etc.)
Coordinate, process and track industry/client sponsorships
Coordinate volunteer opportunities / community outreach programs, employee participation, contributions, and DAVIS outreach
Knowledge, Experience + Special Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
Minimum two (2) years of previous office experience with a marketing skillset
MS Office – Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience
Decision making, research and analytical problem-solving skills
Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the organization
Outstanding attention to detail; strong proofreading and editing skills
Assessing and prioritizing immediate / short / long lead tasks, projects and demands; able to transition quickly between detailed project management and overall strategy
For Communications Focus:
Demonstrated expert knowledge of social media + communications, trends, tracking and practical skills for business advancement
Superior ability to write creatively and to appeal appropriately to each audience with each message
For Brand Focus:
Demonstrated graphic design skills and material production experience using Adobe CC and other programs
