This position is in the Shared Business Services Hub. This position is for the Danforth Campus.
The Shared Business Service Hub provides financial and human resources/payroll transaction processing support to the Central Fiscal Unit and various academic units on the Danforth Campus. The Business and Integration Analyst is part of the team responsible for executing plans to bring the Shared Business Services Hub to scale and accelerate the integration of departments within the Central Fiscal Unit.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary liaison for departmental integration efforts. Maintains awareness of status of all department integrations, with primary responsibility for activities within each phase of the process as applicable. Responsibilities would include:
Analyze detailed transaction data to assess volume and complexity
Participate in meetings with department leadership and staff
Coordinate staff communication and time/effort analysis of affected positions
Assess production capacity required for transaction volume
Analyze staff capacity and assist with position realignments
Handle administrative details of department integrations
Participate in post-integration follow up with department leadership and staff
Look for opportunities to enhance efficiency of workflows and transactional processes. Identify pain points and work to eliminate/mitigate them.
Maintain awareness of current landscape of higher education shared services; network with other institutions and stay up to date on emerging technologies, best practices, lessons learned, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, organizational development or comparable discipline, with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience analyzing business processes, systems and operations; demonstrated data analysis and/or project management experience, or equivalent combination of experience, certification and education.
Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management, process mapping and improvement, project management and production support
Previous experience analyzing, planning and implementing organizational change initiatives
Experience working closely with team members and customers to facilitate effective change management
Previous experience in a shared service environment
Demonstrated successful performance in giving presentations to both small and large audiences
Prior experience in a higher education environment a plus
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Consultative approach and strong listening skills
Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Knowledge of Financial Reporting systems (i.e. Cognos), CRM/ticketing systems (i.e. ServiceNow) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems
