The Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all business operations for the Center for Teaching, Research & Learning (CTRL). This includes managing the CTRL budget for 10 professional staff members of approximately $1.3 million per year and administering approximately 40-60 faculty awards and grants. This also position serves as CTRL’s Human Resources representative, department webmaster, and is responsible for CTRL’s website marketing. This position works closely with HR/Payroll, Purchasing, Controller’s Office, Provost’s Budget Office, and the Development Office in the execution of its primary duties, which requires courtesy, tact and diplomacy.
This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Programs and Events

This position manages the CTRL budget of more than $1.3 million per year
Manages budgetary needs of 10 professional CTRL staff members
Has budgetary responsibility for all faculty awards and grants administrated by CTRL (c. 40-60 per year)

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience
At least three years’ experience working in a business administration role
Strong administrative experience, including project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to learn new enterprise software systems
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including careful attention to accuracy and detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team-oriented demeanor
Experience managing web content
Preferred Education and Experience
Prior experience in a university setting
Experience with CommonSpot, Wordpress, HTML, SharePoint, Datatel Colleague, and graphics software
Experience working in a budget management role
Knowledge of Universal Design principles in web design
