The Instructional Design and Delivery office (iDD) is tasked with producing digital versions of academic content for online, hybrid and on-campus delivery. The content includes: educational and training videos, documents, reference materials, streamed live instruction, interactive online courses, webinars, video instruction, podcasts, books and other works. The LMS Specialist, Production Assistant is responsible for effective functioning of digital resources in the Learning Management System (LMS) (i.e., Blackboard) used by the Gonzaga University. He or she works closely with course designers, course producers, and faculty teaching online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses, to provide a high quality, effective and stable learning environment for Gonzaga University. He or she resolves technical concerns in all master, active, and inactive courses supported by Gonzaga University. As a Production Assistant serves as a backup producer to create video, audio, graphic, and text content for web-based academic offerings. Provides help with coordination of schedules, track the progress of projects and report their results.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in information systems, computer science, business administration, electronic media production, journalism, communication or related field.
Two years of related media production experience in a capacity of software management, media processing and/or project management. Internship experience accepted.
Familiarity with video formats and digital files for the web.
Working knowledge of HTML5, Office365, Adobe products.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills.
Ability to organize and communicate with project members in an efficient, clear, and courteous manner.
Ability to complete multiple assignments efficiently and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment involving multiple subsidiaries, conflicting deadlines, and simultaneous projects.
Ability to effectively contribute while working independently with minimal supervision
Innovative thinker able to apply analysis and creativity to problem-solving and generating solutions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
