Reimagining the Circle, the largest Capital Campaign in the school’s history will help to provide transformational programs and learning spaces to allow for continued educational excellence.
We are in the early stages of a Capital Campaign and are looking for a dynamic and experienced Campaign Director to build upon the generous support of our donor community. The Director will be responsible for planning and execution of the campaign by creating a strategic fundraising plan. This will include increasing the prospect base, creating strategies for engaging donors and developing inspiring gift opportunities. Additional responsibilities include directing all efforts of the campaign, setting goals and objectives and working with the Capital Campaign Committee.
The position is both strategic and tactical. Strategic elements include the development of donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans. Tactical elements include collateral development, day-to-day planning and communication of campaign progress to stakeholders. This position will interact with the Leadership Team, Campaign Cabinet and Board.
Plan, implement and direct a comprehensive campaign from leadership phase to completion
Actively manage a portfolio of prospects to cultivate, solicit and steward
Develop goals, objectives and strategies for solicitation
Conduct prospect research
Identify and execute cultivation strategies including donor-centered events
Prepare the Campaign Cabinet for donor meetings, respond to donor requests for written proposals and engage with volunteers to assist with cultivation/solicitation
Create hard copy and electronic marketing collateral material
Schedule, plan, and support campaign leadership meetings
Ensure that data related to prospects and donors is recorded and tracked in Raiser’s Edge
Keep accurate campaign records
Evaluate and track progress towards goals and benchmark
Prepare fundraising reports and present to the Board and Campaign Cabinet
Recommend revisions to the fundraising plan, as needed, to meet goals
Prepare bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the Director of Development
Ensure donor acknowledgment, stewardship, and public recognition; track stewardship and recognition; design and customize stewardship materials
Advise on and participate where appropriate, in major gift solicitations
Requirements and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a B.S. or B.A. (required) with an M.A. preferred.
Prior Raisers Edge experience is preferred.
3-5 years of relevant fundraising experience.
Excellent judgment, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven fundraising campaigns and proven ability to meet fundraising goals.
Must have a track record in managing and balancing donor relations with the ability to manage multiple, competing projects and deadlines.
This position requires demonstrated analytical and research skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, Board members, and donors.
