The Project Specialist position assists the ITSPMO and the Project Management staff. Under close supervision, this assistance includes working on standard issues/problems, helping with documentation, project plans, coordination of project activities and project communications. The Project Specialist will assist in applying and maintaining the comprehensive project management processes designed by Gonzaga ITS Project Management Office.
- Associates degree or 2 years of higher education - Basic knowledge in project management processes through course work or demonstrated experience in an educational setting or other - Basic knowledge in and experience in team based educational projects, internships or other extra-curricular activities that show the capability to work within a team-based group - Basic knowledge in and demonstrated leadership in a team-based project, college organization, or outside organization (volunteer or paid) - Basic knowledge/use of Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Visio) - Good problem solving skills - Listen to others and accept input from team members - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality - Ability to analyze facts, evaluate information and draw sound conclusions - Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment - Ability to self-start, be versatile in a dynamic environment, able to work independently or with a group. - Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
