As a leader on this team, you will own the National Oncology strategic planning and implementation of educational solutions that support practice change and optimal patient care. You will have exciting opportunities to use many of your skills, including scientific acumen, strategic skills, project management and instructional design skills. You will collaborate with key partners to deliver innovative and engaging educational solutions in support of our customers.
You will lead the development and implementation of fair and balanced educational solutions across all therapeutic options to meet the learning needs of Health Care Providers (HCPs) in oncology by:
Working with HCPs to understand their learning needs and to develop educational content
Collaborating with the Brand team to understand commercial strategy, Medical to incorporate the latest scientific data, Sales for logistical implementation and Compliance to ensure the highest ethical standards
Collaborating with Thought Leaders, Faculty, Speakers and Medical Societies/Associations to provide unbiased learning opportunities that meet HCP needs
Providing an excellent learning experience that triggers practice changes to optimize patient care

Demonstrating your understanding of key business drivers and ensuring business alignment with the medical education strategy
Supporting the implementation of national medical education strategy to develop innovative, national /regional educational initiatives based on HCP insights and needs assessments from concept development through implementation and execution
Anticipating the dynamic and exciting Med Ed landscape and adjusting your strategy and solutions to fit the changing landscape
Consulting on and compliantly navigating the complexity of internal and external policies/codes that govern interactions with physician organizations, HCPs, accrediting bodies and academic institutions
Managing the Med Ed budget and the work of vendors contracted to develop education solutions
You will have the opportunity to showcase your educational expertise by:
Using your knowledge of educational principles to transform scientific and health care environment insights and understanding of HCP learning needs into solutions supporting the professional development of HCPs and contribute to improved patient care.
Acting as a Medical Education subject matter expert leading the 1-2 years' National medical education strategy based on analysis of gaps between current and ideal practice and unmet educational needs
Acting as the Brand Lead for a key Oncology Brand including development of the national Brand Strategy and oversight of the operational plan
Delivering relevant, innovative, engaging, and high-quality educational programs for Canadian HCPs in a manner aligned with principles of adult education and consistent with accrediting body and medical society requirements, global, regional, and affiliate policies, procedures and guidelines, local policies and codes
Continuously developing and maintaining knowledge and skills required to design effective educational solutions
Ensuring high quality and scientific accuracy of educational solutions originating from Lilly Canada sponsored activities and ensure medical, regulatory and compliance review
Managing the medical education budget strategically allocating time and dollars to achieve maximal strategic educational impact and alignment with business needs
Evaluating effectiveness of educational solutions and ensuring continued improvement in customer experience

Identifying external partners and building strategic long term collaborations to deliver high quality medical education
Gathering knowledge about faculty, medical societies, and other collaborators, tracking their expertise, capabilities, network and Med Ed services involving them accordingly
Understanding Canadian affiliate business goals and aligning customer learning needs with educational offerings regionally and nationally
Coordinating with internal partners to share best practices, bring to bear existing knowledge, manage and coordinate internal resources, and ensure alignment and collaboration on all activities
