The Office of the University Registrar is dedicated to providing the highest levels of student, faculty, and staff service and maintaining the highest level of academic records integrity and security. The department is currently seeking a qualified Student Services Analyst.
The Student Services Analyst will assist the Student Services area in leveraging technology to ensure operational efficiency, improve business processes and streamline workflows, assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of database queries to support business processes, make recommendations to better utilize PeopleSoft student information system to support area functions, and assist in the management of electronic and hard-copy file maintenance and digital imaging initiatives for the area.
This position also performs a variety of detailed tasks including: - Processing registration and biographical/demographic update documents and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with university policies and procedures and proper authorizations have been received - Evaluating appeals for special services and determine the appropriate course of action - Responding to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries regarding student academic records, the interpretation of University policies and procedures, and best practices for using PeopleSoft student information system.
Ability to leverage technology to ensure operational efficiency. Knowledge of Student Record functions within a university setting. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures and perform varied, detailed functions. Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. Good analytical and communication skills for problem resolution.
