The End User Support Specialist II, under general supervision, performs complex and non-routine specialized end user support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, de-bugging, and problem-solving.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate
Responsibilities: 50% Nursing Simulation: EMS Arcadia/Orion AV System administration Assists Simulation Technology Specialist [STS] with supporting nursing staff and faculty with the setup and operation of simulation control and Viewer computers; Assists STS with monitoring Arcadia/Orion Server services; Assists STS with simulation system peripherals (e.g.: extenders, AV capture devices, cameras, microphones); Assists STS with setup/installation of Arcadia/Orion viewer software in clinical labs and conference rooms for purposes of debriefing; Performs maintenance; Assists STS with keeping Simulator software, firmware for all simulator brands and models; Assists STS and nursing staff with proper cleaning and refitting of consumables; Assists STS to performing preventative maintenance as prescribed by simulator manufacturer; Troubleshoots; Assists STS in developing appropriate documentation of simulation technologies, and associated processes; Assists STS in programming scenarios: various methodologies which varies depending on make and model of simulator; Assists Faculty/Staff development in simulation
45% Provides technology support to Nursing building (which includes (2) 37-station computer labs, (2) HD ITV classrooms, and 13 Smartrooms)
5% Provides technology duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technology related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of computer technology support experience in a complex, technical environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving, client relations skills, requirement assessment and analysis, project management methodology, context and interrelationships. Desire to stay current in technical knowledge; Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Requirements: Masters degree in a technology related field is preferred; 2 or more years of experience with Nursing simulation technology is preferred.
