The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is searching for a Director of Digital Strategy who will be responsible for working with the Senior Director, Digital and Information Strategy on adapting, analyzing, and maintaining an organization-wide digital strategy that will ensure that all digital properties are integrated and leveraged using the industry best practices. This will include direct oversight of emerging digital strategy projects. The Director will also be responsible for the content strategy of Neuronline, SfN's learning and discussion website. This role is ideal for someone who is well versed in digital technology, has knowledge of digital platforms and strategies, and who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to best position SfN.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leads on continued assessment and growth of digital strategy, working closely with Senior Director, Digital & Information Strategy. Includes continued assessment of digital online platforms against the organization's needs as aligned with SfN's strategic plan and goals.
Provides leadership and expertise on digital strategy including concept, design, and workflow, from implementation to launch on a range of digital platforms.
Analyzes online trends and leverage digital platform statistics and performance to influence digital strategy roadmap.
Pilots new technologies to provide member value and optimize user experience; looks for opportunities to apply those components to other web properties and digital formats.
Partners with departments to identify, evaluate, and potentially implement technology services or platforms that facilitate execution of prioritized digital activities. Assist the organization with applying digital principles including user experience/user design.
Oversees content strategy for Neuronline, SfN's learning and discussion website, working closely with programmatic teams and volunteer committees to continue shaping and refining strategy, focused on growth and innovation.
Oversees use of business intelligence for Neuronline.
Oversees Neuronline content marketing efforts.
Work closely with Technology Services to communicate and resolve Neuronline issues.
Develops and manages departmental budget, including regular forecasting.
Serves as the liaison and oversees the activities of the Online Programs Steering Committee
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience required.
Delegates effectively, communicates expectations clearly, and provides professional development opportunities.
Provides strategic leadership in alignment with divisional and organizational goals and objectives

Facilitate respect, synergy and collaboration in team dynamics.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications, Digital Marketing Strategy, E-Commerce or other relevant fields.
A minimum of 7 years of related professional experience in the digital and information technology space.
Working knowledge of emerging and proven digital systems, including but not limited to MS Office, CMS (Sitecore preferred), CRM, digital marketing, analytical tools, and other technology.
Advanced understanding of technology systems and integrations among them is required.
Ability to develop and execute strategies.
Expertise in sophisticated and unified graphic design and corporate visual presentation.
Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
Ability to collaborate and build bridges across departments.
Exceptional time and project management skills.
Familiarity with associations a plus.
