The Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), a 14-member NCAA Division II Conference with operations based in Mansfield, Massachusetts, seeks a dynamic, energetic, self-motivated leader to serve as Director of Strategic Communications/Multimedia Services.
This position will provide strategic leadership for NE10 Conference multimedia efforts that are aligned with the Conference’s Mission, our Vision to embrace a distinctive culture of academic and athletics excellence in which student-athletes, coaches and administrators are prepared to serve as engaged citizens and leaders in a diverse global society, our Brand and our Strategic Plan as well with the NCAA DII Strategic Platform . The Director will work under the direct supervision of the Commissioner.
The Director will:
Direct all multimedia efforts for the Conference’s 24 championship sports (regular season and postseason)
Collaborate with Director of Strategic Communications and Operations on annual content creation strategy.
Provide strategic leadership for NE10 Now, the Conference’s digital streaming platform, to create greater awareness of the Conference with campus constituents and target audiences. Ensure membership adherence to established policies and implementation timeline.
Develop NE10 Now digital network as home for all NE10 championships. Assist in video coverage of championships.
Develop new strategies for promotion of the conference in support of the NE10’s Strategic Plan, including but not limited to, features and highlight videos, student-athlete features, Conference PSAs, All Conference awards shows, Year in Review Videos
Assist with daily and weekly strategic communications for select sports, including weekly and postseason honors.
Travel to member institutions and special events to capture elements for current and future video pieces.
Maintain equipment for strategic communications department, including hardware and software.
Develop and track metrics, as well as provide data analysis to create a strategic approach for content distribution.
Advance and expand the NE10 brand through established and emerging avenues.
Assist with the management, design and content of the NE10 website.
Maintain close association with, and serve as a liaison to, the institutional Athletic Communications Directors and coordinate multimedia strategies and campaigns through these individuals; Organize professional development opportunities for institutional staff members at annual meetings.
Cultivate relationships with campus, local and regional communications professionals in all forms (campus communications offices, student media, print, digital, etc.) in an effort to collaboratively tell the NE10 story and enhance partnerships.
Assist in the development of a Conference Marketing and Promotions program that has the potential to generate revenue.
Oversee all production aspects of the conference’s year-end banquet, including year-end video.
Serve in a supporting role in the administration of Conference championships.
Assist the Commissioner on special projects
Other duties as assigned by the Commissioner
3- 5 years’ experience working within an athletic department or conference office at the collegiate level with a focus on producing a wide range of video (game production, highlights) and graphic elements from concept to creation.
Outstanding communication, organizational, interpersonal and written skills.
An earnest desire to work in NCAA Division II along with a demonstrated, comprehensive understanding of DII environment.
Experience in directing talent, coaches and student-athletes during interviews.
Experience managing social media platforms, web and graphic design.
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, website content management tools, video editing software.
Ability to work on deadline and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The position will require travel as well as night and weekend work.
Experience with Production Truck Pro and Stretch Internet streaming platform are preferred.

Established in 1979, the 2019-20 NE10 membership will include Adelphi University, American International College, Assumption College, Bentley University, Franklin Pierce University, Le Moyne College, University of New Haven, Pace University, Saint Anselm College, Saint Michael’s College, The College of Saint Rose, Southern Connecticut State University, Southern New Hampshire University and Stonehill College. The NE10 sponsors 24 championship sports, 12 for men and 12 for women, the largest program in Division II.
