NAHB is seeking a Manager, Membership Services for NAHB Councils. The Manager will work with NAHB Council Directors to create and implement uniform processes and procedures for council related products and services. He/she will play a key role in the development, implementation and management of membership growth and retention strategies, refine council member benefits for national and local council members, coordinate the execution of professional development resources, and provide program support for NAHB Council’s awards and recognition programs. The manager will act as a liaison with local councils to facilitate opportunities for collaboration and sharing of best practices and work with internal teams to enhance the visibility of council benefits and showcase the value of council membership. The manager will provide program support and assist in the coordination of trade show activities, event planning and programming for various NAHB council-related meetings, conferences, and networking functions.
Qualified candidates will have excellent project management skills and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple job priorities simultaneously, exhibit great attention to detail, have excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding customer service. Must work well under pressure and have the ability to work independently while also being a team player. Candidates will demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness to obtain information, follow-up, and problem-solve. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
A minimum of four years experience in a professional environment, preferably in a service-oriented/membership-based environment. Experience developing membership recruitment and retention membership plans. Association background, knowledge of home building industry preferred. Ability to work independently as well as in a team on many ongoing projects.
