Reporting to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement, the Associate Director of Campaign Events and Development Initiatives is responsible for the planning and execution of all campaign events, including prospect receptions and dinners, regional presidential events, Laurentian Leadership Society events, and on- and off- campus campaign celebrations. This involves all aspects of event planning, including scheduling; securing event venues and catering; working with event hosts; creating print and email invitations; managing event logistics; and helping to staff events, as needed. In addition to campaign event planning, this position also assists in the coordination or presidential travel, the writing of presidential visit strategies, and provides general campaign logistics support, as needed.
Qualities of creativity, flexibility, self-motivation, accountability, high energy, and a positive attitude are required.
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent proofreading and editing skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and build effective relationships.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Frequent travel in order to manage events is required.
Exposure to using relational databases; experience with The Raiser’s Edge and Blackbaud NetCommunity preferred.
