Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to support students, faculty and staff by creating an efficient learning environment with digital equipment. Essential duties includes but not limited to:
Manage and maintain digital output equipment such as shopbot, laser cutter, 3d printer, vinyl cutter, 3d scanner, ceramics decal printer.
Provide and maintain hours and availability for student operations of digital equipment and training as needed.
Assist and facilitate training of Woodshop Tech duties, or other needs, for applicable classes.
Provide general instructional support for faculty such as classroom demos and trainings for materials and equipment.
Supervise and implement student workers in studio areas by working directly with area coordinators.
Supervise and manage equipment cage and student employees for Comm. Photo.
Maintain visual resources for library and mobile digital carts for checkout by students and faculty.
Act as liaison between Lab Ops Manager and Comm. Photo/GAIT needs.
Assist Lab Ops Manager in general studio, and facilities maintenance and management (15-20 hours per week).
Assist Lab Ops Manager in implementation of health and safety protocols throughout department.
