The Digital Media Manager will play a leading role in telling the story of the School, especially through social channels. He/she will be the “feet on the street” of the School, excelling at capturing the traditional big events, but will also be well versed in finding and highlighting the everyday moments that showcase the special differentiators of the School. The ideal candidate will be skilled in photography, videography, graphic design and social media marketing. He/She will own the end-to-end creation of marketing content from idea to implementation.
Create and publish content on all social media channels
Create and edit video
Develop print and electronic marketing including annual reports, Annual Giving campaigns, and e-newsletters, including weekly and monthly newsletters to parents, faculty and staff
Work collaboratively with each division of the School, including academic, admissions and college counseling departments, to be aware of and familiar with events, programs and accomplishments
Actively participate in all facets of School activities to ensure a deep awareness and understanding of the Community
Serve as staff photographer and videographer
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
Collaborate with the rest of the Communications team and other offices of the School to ensure the School’s brand is consistent
Communicate important updates to the School community in real-time, including inclement weather alerts
Develop and track communications and engagement metrics over time

Qualifications & Key Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications or a related field
At least 5 years experience in a communications or related role
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Exceptional judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proven experience in building out social media strategies.
Knowledge of SEO and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
Working knowledge of video creation/editing
Proficient in Graphic Design Software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Knowledge of Google suite
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events as needed
