The Director works collaboratively with volunteer leaders and senior staff to develop content and deliver high quality programs and resources that strengthen the membership value proposition.
Essential Job Functions
Create new avenues of participation for FPSA members and provide substantive content development for food industry segments.
Serves as liaison between committees and councils. Participates in committee and council meetings and conferences.
Working with committees and councils, secure whitepapers and other research for the committee/council section of FPSA’s website.
Organize and host conference calls (30-40 annually) webinar series (20-30 annually), podcasts and other educational forums throughout the year.
Work with committees and councils, developing content and programs for educational sessions at annual conference and trade show.
Recruit members to participate in committees, councils and networks.
Works with staff at PROCESS EXPO tradeshow on substantive educational programs and committee activities.
Develop and disseminate through social media, content for committees.
Provides content for monthly membership newsletter.
Strong project management skills with attention to detail including the ability to coordinate workflow, determine priorities, meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands.
Other Job Functions
Report to VP of Membership and Business Development.
Maintain records in both the Association’s membership database and board member portal.
The ability to travel for work including weekends on occasion.
Other duties as assigned, which could evolve based on changing business needs.

Education, Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), 8-10 years Association experience
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with members.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and proficient in Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Strong working knowledge of webinar software (GoToWebinar) and Membership Databases.
Normal office environment requiring use of typical business equipment. Ability to travel to conferences and tradeshows to represent the organization.
Additional Salary Information: Annual Bonus of up to 7% upon accomplishment of goals.
