The Web Developer will design, build, test, and maintain web-based applications, utility programs, and custom integrations. The Web developer will work collaboratively with fellow team members, advancement staff, and campus partners to understand business needs and translate them into working technical solutions that solve those needs. In addition, this position will respond to and implement ad-hoc enhancements and/or bug fix requests.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Application Development, the Web Developer is a member of the Analytics & Data Management Team within Advancement Operations. Advancement Operations is dedicated to housing, managing, analyzing and disseminating information and data to inform Advancement Office strategy, as well as fostering strong relationships with alumni, donors, volunteers and campus partners and promoting effective integration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Document code, and create technical specifications
Design, build, maintain, and support custom web-based applications
Work with, and create APIs for custom and vendor application integration
Collaborate and build relationships with, as well as support, a diverse group of business partners and team members
Communicate project status and deliverables with managers and clients
Assist with requirements gathering and business analysis
Research new technology, tools, and approaches
Participate in training of business partners on new and existing solutions
Perform quality assurance testing upgrades, patches, and new releases
Provide support for production issues both during and outside of business hours
