Oversee all staffing and use of the SEHS Counseling Center Support and assist with faculty research in the Counseling Center. Provide clinical and supervisory leadership for the counseling center including emergency protocols and fulfilling training needs of staff and students. Work collaboratively with faculty teaching, research and service efforts within the Counseling Center. Conduct practicum and training orientations. Attend counseling department meetings. Develop and manage relationships with Oakland University partners and the community. Oversee the operation of digital recording and all other equipment and supplies in the Counseling Center. Schedule repairs and order new equipment as needed.
A Master’s degree in Counseling from an accredited program. Must have Michigan LPC. A minimum of three years experience in counseling and supervision. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Doctorate in Counselor Education and training in clinical supervision. Ability to develop and maintain community relationships. Previous management experience in a university counseling or mental health center.
