The Program Manager of Learning Programs will lead logistical operations and strategy for Ohio State's Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) focused events including Science Olympiad, State Science Day, Innovate, and Cyber Security Day, as well as Office of Distance Education and eLearning (ODEE) workshops and community events. Reporting to the Associate Director of Learning Programs, the Program Manager will be an integral part of the Office of Distance Education and eLearning's Learning Programs team within Learning Technology. He/she will direct, manage, and lead all logistical operations supporting Science Olympiad, State Science Day, Innovate, and Cyber Security Day. The Program Manager will be responsible for the following: managing a broad range of customers and stakeholders both internal and external to the University; negotiating event fundraising efforts with local and national businesses; developing and monitoring budgets for each STEM event; setting strategy for design and development of promotional materials and event collaterals; publicizing and promoting events and programs using a variety of media; cultivating internal and external relationships; interacting with all levels of the organization; communicating with university committees, faculty, staff, administrators and external organizations; interacting with event coordinators, contacts and relevant vendors to ensure that all events follow proper policies and procedures; and managing and supervising ODEE Learning Events staff and student employee(s).
Additionally, the Program Manager will manage logistical and operational aspects of the Digital Flagship initiative. This includes coordination of Digital Flagship distribution and learning events, management of technology (receiving, processing, staging, security, etc.), and operational support of Digital Flagship services. The Program Manager will strategize with the Associate Director of Learning Programs in collaboration with the OCIO and the Digital Flagship team to ensure an optimal user experience is being provided and supported at all times.
By incorporating clear, consistent, and positive communication, this person will ensure that ODEE staff collaborate exceptionally well with one another to produce high-impact programs and partnerships that extend Learning Technology's impact across campus and beyond.

Bachelor’s degree in education, business, technology, or related field or equivalent work experience; five years of professional experience, strong written communication and presentation skills, and experience with project management; five years of professional experience in education in a role related to educational technology, customer support, and event management; theoretical and applied experience with learning theory to connect solutions to curricular goals; experience implementing and integrating a range of technologies for teaching and learning; ability to work across academic content areas, technologies, software, and tools; High quality customer service skills in an education setting.
Master’s Degree in instructional design, education, business management, or technology; familiarity with higher education environments, administrative structures, landscape of educational technology, and instructional design; experience managing and successfully executing multiple high stacks projects and initiatives; multiple presentations at national/international education conferences; experience designing, developing, and evaluating online courses and learning materials; familiarity with copyright or accessibility considerations; familiarity with multimedia or web standards; experience with academic assessment methods and social science research protocols.
Target Salary: $66,510.00 - $81,290.00 Annually
