South Wilton Veterinary Group in Fairfield County is searching for a compassionate veterinarian dedicated to patient care, client education, and a high standard of medicine to join our 5 doctor practice. We are a full-service AAHA-accredited hospital that cares for dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, reptiles, other exotic pets, and wildlife. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in companion and exotic animal medicine and is comfortable with basic soft tissue surgical procedures. New graduates and those with a commitment to learning exotic animal medicine will also be considered.
Our practice is a 2006 Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Merit Award winner, and is well equipped for you to practice high quality medicine with in house blood analyzers, digital radiographs with radiologist review, ECG with cardiology review, a surgery suite, isolation ward, procedures room, and separate inpatient and outpatient treatment areas. We are committed to keeping current with the latest in veterinary technology. Having this advanced equipment cuts down diagnosis time, speeds patient recovery, and gives you confidence in practice. As a member of our team you would have access to all of our brand new tools including an ultrasound machine, radiosurgery/cautery, dental x-ray, radiology software, thermal support units, syringe pump, rigid endoscopy, centrifuge, autoclave and more. We also have access to in-clinic specialists on an as needed basis in cardiology, internal medicine, and surgery.
Being within a 15-30 minute radius of multiple referral and emergency hospitals, you can rest assured your patients will receive the specialty referral & emergency care they need. There are no after-hours requirements. Our location is perfect for fun outside of work, with the mountains, beach and New York City all within 45 minutes.
We offer a complete benefits package with health and liability insurance, 401k, generous CE, relocation assistance, licensure fees, and membership dues. Compensation commensurate with experience, new grads welcome.
