DIGITAL CHANNELS RISK:
The Digital Channels Risk unit is a newly created team within COO Business Risk, aimed to help the Digital Business identify, prevent, manage and remediate their risks. We are building a team of forward-looking, out-of-the-box-thinking risk professionals with an interest in digital innovation and technology that want to improve the way we have traditionally managed risk in banking. You will be joining us at the beginning of the journey and you will have the opportunity to help shape the role and the unit as it grows.
THE ROLE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Do you have extensive experience in managing conduct for digital banking?
If so, we're currently seeking an experienced Digital Conduct Partner to join our team based in London. You'll be responsible for ensuring strong conduct management processes and controls are in place across the group and will support both strategic and operational decision-making by providing insight, challenge and support.
Reporting into the Head of Risk - Digital Channels, you'll define and craft the approach to effective conduct ownership and action within the business to drive the best outcomes for our customers. You'll support the definition of the conduct management strategy and practices that will strengthen Digital Channel's performance.
You'll play an active role as a member of the Digital Channels Risk leadership team proactively driving forward the value delivered by the wider team and helping formulate the mid to long term strategy and priorities, working with the business, SME's and other Business Risk teams to design and implement strategic initiatives
You'll lead on innovation, driving forward automation and simplification across the team including controls and reporting, demonstrating continuous learning and self-development.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
This newly created role represents an opportunity for a highly motivated colleague and experienced conduct leader to work at the heart of the Group's transformation activity. As a Digital Conduct Partner, you'll:
Be a transformational leader with strong interest in conduct, be values led, have a strong track record of delivery
Bring a strategic approach to the delivery of conduct framework support to the businesses, with an eye on developing the capabilities and skills required for the Bank of the Future
Bring a strong problem solving mindset, with an ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders across the business and 3 lines of defence
Have the ability to derive business value from conduct management, to make good decisions, and to drive continuous improvement.
Excel in drive, energy, commitment and integrity.
Have the ability to simplify processes, successfully identifying the components that add value and challenging the ones that don't.
Be flexible and comfortable in changing and evolving environments as well as proactive an independent.
Specialist Knowledge needed:
Have a deep understanding of the external environment and threat landscape.
Strong knowledge of digital banking and understanding of how conduct issues manifest themselves differently from traditional banking.
Experience of delivering/owning a conduct management framework.
Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering positive outcomes for customers.
Experience managing customer information and content, improving the way we communicate through our digital channels.
Understanding of digital journeys and experience mapping them, supporting the business to identify report and mitigate potential conduct issues along the journey.
Primary point of contact (and challenge point) for risk assessments and audits.
Identifying areas of risk and working with the business to develop appropriate controls to address these weaknesses.
Build and maintain an appropriate, streamlined conduct control framework. Define appropriate KPIs and MI to guarantee adequacy of the controls in place.
Provide holistic insights into the Group Policy Framework.
Building positive relationships within different stakeholders within the business and other areas of risk to obtain / exchange information, identify standard methodologies and where appropriate, to respond to changes in the internal and external environment.
Driving and developing a culture of continuous improvement in all areas to identify solutions which deliver better outcome for our customers.
