Morgan Stanley's lending, deposit, and cash management solutions are delivered through WM's Private Banking Group ("PBG"), which is responsible for developing, launching and managing innovative banking and lending services tailored for affluent and high net worth clients. These services include home loans, securities-based loans, deposit products, access to a range of banking services, and a growing array of digital banking and lending capabilities. PBG is an important contributor to both the revenue and earnings of Wealth Management and represents a significant growth opportunity for the Firm.
The PBG Strategy and Analysis team informs the business on the evolving industry landscape and advises Senior Leadership on key decisions through analytics and research. Core to the team's mission is to define and drive strategic initiatives that promote integration of PBG solutions into the core Wealth Management client and advisor value proposition. We are recruiting an individual who is a strategic thinker and has a passion for both uncovering and defining opportunities, and executing new initiatives.
Assist in identifying, designing and implementing important cross PBG platform strategic initiatives, with an emphasis on implementing data driven loan and deposit acquisition strategies.
Role requires ability to partner with cross matrixed team of Product, Sales, Finance, Analytics, Project Management Office, Marketing, Legal & Compliance, and Risk.
Conduct market and competitor research and perform data analysis to drive insights and inform recommendations.
Synthesize research and analysis to develop concise and effective presentations for Senior Leadership.
8+ years of Financial Services experience required.
Prior strategy, business development and/or project management experience in credit card, mortgage, other credit or deposits business.
Experience in deploying data driven approaches to lending and/or deposit client acquisition, including marketing and sales campaigns (e.g. Direct to client pre-qualified offers of credit / invitations to apply, salesforce opportunity lists).
Appreciation of banking regulatory environment.
Strong analytic skills.
Strong communication skills - articulate complex concepts simply to stakeholders at every level of the organization.
Able to work in a matrixed organization and leverage resources across the organization and with external vendors.
Able to work on multiple tasks, accurately and with attention to detail in a fast paced, demanding environment.
High energy level and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Strong sense of personal ownership and accountability for self and team.
Highly proficient with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Tableau experience a plus.
