This position manages a team of Business Solutions Implementation Project Mgrs. and Customer Data Specialists who plan, schedule and manage the implementation of MSC solutions within new and existing customers.as outlined in an agreed upon statement of work(SOW). Additionally, this manager is responsible for the development of strategies that deliver continuous improvement to our business solution implementation processes focused on improved timelines, quality and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the direct management, coaching and development of a team of between 4-6 Business Solutions Implementation Project Managers and 5-6 Customer Data Specialists.
Responsible for the achievement of all revenue acceleration related goals associated with assigned business solution implementation projects.
Develops strategic plans and manages execution to improve efficiency and productivity of implementation related project and customer data management processes.
Maintains regular oversight and is accountable for the overall success of business solution implementation for any team assigned projects.
Engages and influences cross functional sales and departmental leadership to ensure successful implementation of MSC business solutions within our customers.
Maintains a funnel of prospective customers that require project management support and works closely with sales leadership to qualify and prioritize team work assignments.
Develops and manage risk mitigation plans where necessary to ensure project success up to and including intervention and oversight of project plans where necessary.
Manages departmental budgets, attendance and associate performance evaluations per MSC direction.
Provides regular performance updates to Sr. Leadership on active projects, continuous improvement efforts and overall results to identified performance Goals and Objectives.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Supply Chain, Sales or Sales support is required
Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing associates is required.
Minimum 3 years of project management experience is required.
Strong understanding of manufacturing background or Supply Chain is preferred
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement practices preferred.
CAPM or PMP certification preferred
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and Excel skills required
Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing required
Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills are required.
Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required.
Ability to manage across multiple projects simultaneously required
Microsoft Project and Visio applications experience preferred.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time may be required.
Bachelor’s Degree is required with study in Business, Supply Chain, Distribution or Marketing preferred
