Information Management is a unit within University Relations that supports the overall fundraising efforts of UC Santa Cruz. Our main goal is to deliver high-quality, client-centered services including gift administration; data management and governance; business analysis, process improvements, and project management; reporting and analytics; and systems that support our University Relations colleagues and partners across campus in helping fulfill the university's aspirations through philanthropy.
Under the general supervision of the Business Analyst and Support Manager, the Training & Support Analyst provides analytical and user support for the Alumni, Donors, and Friends System (ADFS) and associated SAP Business Objects/InfoView Reporting and UR intranet web services. The Training & Support Analyst acts as a functional subject matter expert (SME) and training lead for Information Systems (IS) projects that are related to the enhancement or development of new functional processes, reports, and user interfaces, providing systems and process analysis; assessment and analysis of user needs; research and analysis of possible solutions; change management documentation; testing and test plan creation and test case validation; the development of user documentation and training syllabi; and delivery of user training of the supported systems.
The incumbent is primarily responsible for reviewing and assigning University Relations Information Services (URIS) service request tickets to Information Management (IM) staff as appropriate. Incumbent is the IM lead in assuring website (Toolkit) information reflects tools and resources needed by end-users. In addition, as needed, the incumbent will act as back-up to or represent the IM Systems Support Services Manager at meetings or in responding to requests for information; and will coordinate and organize various UR support and training initiatives.
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Information Science, Business, Education, or other related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Knowledge of and experiences with the business and business processes of higher education advancement operations and the associated technical and data needs of this business.
Experience running reports from Business Objects or similar reporting tools.
Experience in the use of business process modeling and project management tools.
Knowledge of advancement systems, preferably Ellucian Banner Advancement.
Work-site location is the UC Santa Cruz Scotts Valley Center (100 Enterprise Way, Scotts Valley, CA).
