The Digital Production Manager provides project leadership for digital initiatives across the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. Serves as the primary contact for department and program websites (e.g. manages website creation, migration, and maintenance). Manages the digital signage and other digital projects. Collaborates with Department Chairs, Program Directors, and Administrative Leaders to assess that projects meet both the goals of the individual department or program and the marketing and brand goals of the School.
Serves as project leader, in close collaboration with the director of digital communications, to manage the development of new websites evaluation of existing websites into formats compliant with Weinberg College brand standards. This includes: content inventory, evaluation, user testing, information architecture analysis, search engine optimization, and management of the design process. Partners with internal clients (department chairs, program directors, and senior administrators) to develop consensus on project plans, provide project updates, and gather relevant approvals for all work. Creates and edits content to meet Weinberg College standards, providing oversight for content development by other staff members.
Serves as the primary contact for department and program staff, Managing user support ticket queue, following up on training and ensuring that communications staff in various departments and units are empowered to maintain digital communications strategies that are in keeping with Weinberg College brand guidelines. Monitor department and program websites to ensure compliance, working with appropriate staff members to identify and correct web content issues.
Provides in-person training and creates and updates guides and tutorials for users of Cascade, including promotion of best practices for website upkeep and enhancement, and digital asset management.
Manages and supports a network of digital monitors and a 12-screen video wall, including coding and adapting themes and layouts and managing relationships with vendors.
Assists college staff in best practice use of preferred email marketing services: learns services; builds basic templates; provides training/workshops; and supplements vendor support to troubleshoot problems.
Assists in managing College website traffic measurement and reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
A bachelor's degree in liberal arts, communications, new media, or computer science, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
5-7 years’ customer service or client consulting experience.
Experience maintaining and managing websites using Cascade or an equivalent, full-featured website content management system.
Experience creating end-user training materials.

Visual design skills and sensibility, including demonstrated knowledge of website usability and accessibility best practices.
Expertise with HTML and CSS code and experience applying them within a website content management system environment.
Expertise with Adobe Photoshop and Bridge and Microsoft Office products.
Proven problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
Organized and self-motivated.
Experience managing WordPress sites, including adapting themes and templates.
Experience managing digital signs.

Google Analytics familiarity.
