The Epic Applications Technical Project Manager (Technical Project Manager 1) is responsible for managing and directing resources, developing and tracking project plans and budgets, preparing status reports and tracking program deliverables, documenting risks, issues and decisions and overseeing testing, training and communication plans. The Epic Applications Technical Project Manager manages a highly specialized technical project application team and has significant responsibility to achieve broadly stated goals through Epic Application Directors, Managers and Supervisors. The Epic Applications Technical Project Manager determines objectives, directs programs, develops strategies and policies, manages human, financial, and physical resources, and functions with a high degree of autonomy.REQUIRED-Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.-Typically 4-10 years of management experience in an Epic healthcare environment.-Technical project management knowledge of several areas of specialty including Epic Applications, Clinical and Revenue Cycle Applications, Financial and Administrative Systems, Systems Integration, and Program and Capacity Management.-Knowledge of Epic Applications sufficient for strategic planning, technology assessment and direction.- Experience managing technical staff.
