Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) Business Planning provides a single point of contact for a defined set of BSWH business areas for understanding business requests made to the Information Systems (IS) organization. Portfolio Management is responsible for supporting the understanding the business problem, identifying the best solution, establishing the expected business outcomes, determining the level of effort and budget to implement the solution and gaining approval through the IS governance process.
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Planning, the Director of Portfolio Management - Revenue Cycle role leads a team of Portfolio Management resources addressing one or more lines of business or functional areas within BSWH - in this case Revenue Cycle, Health Plan, and Shared Services. The role also will take ownership of strategic planning and assist operations with developing roadmaps for IS technology. The role requires a person who must be action and results-oriented, a "take-charge" leader with strong communications (written and spoken), leadership, negotiating and business case development skills.
Key responsibilities for the Director, Portfolio Management role include:
Manages a team of Portfolio Management resources.
Assigns and assists Portfolio Management resources with processing business requests from receipt through the governance decision process.
Develops deeper understanding of the healthcare industry relative to the assigned portfolio and BSWH operations.
Manage artifacts, decisions, communications, metrics and reporting for assigned portfolio area.
Builds strong relationships within BSWH business leaders to understand the business challenges and opportunities for assigned portfolio area.
Develops and maintain roadmaps for IS technology.

Prior experience for a successful Director, Portfolio Management candidate includes:
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related fields.
Experience in business development, operational management, IS leadership or product management in healthcare
Experience as a project manager in healthcare.
Understanding of Revenue Cycle
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, degree strongly preferred
