The Compliance Risk Monitoring Team (CRMT) is a central function within Corporate Compliance that designs and executes Monitoring & Surveillance (M&S) activities for areas of higher focus within Business Conduct and Compliance risks. Our goal is to challenge, improve, develop and grow State Street internal control environment.
We are a truly global team with individuals located all over the globe, including US, Canada, India, China, Poland, Luxembourg, UK, Italy and many more. We share ideas and work closely all together in teams and in a friendly atmosphere.
On a daily basis, we execute the review of internal controls that support various regulatory requirements in addition to internal Firm requirements (Control Monitoring) and execute substantive outcome monitoring using analytical techniques to detect potential breaches of Regulatory Obligations (Surveillance Monitoring).
Currently, we are recruiting for a Compliance Risk Monitoring Senior Analyst (Senior Associate) who would like to join and strengthen our team.
Do you have expertise in any or possible all of the following: risk assessment, internal control, compliance or audit function?
Have you obtained it working through the Financial Services sector?
Can you describe yourself as an individual possessing strong attention to detail and good coordination capabilities?
Do we wish to develop a career further in Compliance or in other risk and control areas?
As a successful candidate, there are also some additional qualifications you should possess:
Minimum of 4-5 years relevant work experience with risk assessment, internal control, compliance or audit functions within the financial services sector
Excellent critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate with and appropriately influence all levels of management
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Excellent project management and organization skills.
Strong customer focus
As a Compliance Risk Monitoring Senior Analyst (Senior Associate) you will be responsible for the following:
Work with CRMT and Compliance Advisory colleagues to design high value, efficient Monitoring & Surveillance activities
Execute said Monitoring & Surveillance activities in line with established standards and execution plans
Provide timely execution and ensure quality of work product, including preparation of workpapers
Demonstrate knowledge of the Compliance Oversight Program (COP) Methodology as well as a broad understanding of the entire Corporate Compliance function at State Street Corporation
Establish and maintain relationships with the other CRMT staff members globally
Complete assigned periodic training as required by corporate methodology (annually, quarterly, etc.)
Identify real-time CRMT process improvements and suggest resolutions when applicable
