Residential and Hospitality Services Business Team is seeking a professional with substantial accounting, financial reporting and analysis, audit, and accounts receivable experience. The position will initiate, approve, audit, and reconcile transactions in both the MSU Kuali and Spartan Hospitality financial systems. Communications with invoiced customers both university and external is required. Additional responsibilities include administration of point of sale systems including the input of products, pricing, and users in a database and the generation of reports. The position is part of the financial reporting team, one of three teams in the unit, and will work with colleagues on projects to achieve quarterly objectives. Work is performed both at 1855 Place and the Kellogg Center business office locations.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Accounting or other business major; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in financial statement preparation and analysis, general ledger accounting and budgeting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with MSU Kuali Financial System, hotel accounting systems, point of sale systems, accounts receivable processing, and project management. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Critical thinking, problem solving, strong communication and customer service skills.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional nights and weekends.
