The analyst will assume primary responsibility for prospect research on individual donors and will also help identify corporate and foundation prospects. He or she will analyze relevant data to set gift capacity and inclination ratings, develop research reports, improve prospect management systems, and assist in developing cultivation and solicitation strategies with leadership gift officers to engage their prospects. The analyst must be able to disseminate information clearly and succinctly, have superior judgment and discretion, and be comfortable taking initiative.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Provide high-level research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using a wide variety of biographical, organizational and financial sources, including online database services, Internet websites, library and government sources, and other external repositories of public information.
Create intelligence products to grow, refine, and engage the University's leadership gift pool. Analyze accumulated information to assess financial capacity, philanthropic tendencies, giving propensity and linkages to campus.
Investigate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data into a user-friendly and concise format for the use of the IA staff, University leadership and key volunteers
Efficiently monitor a core group of leadership gift prospects and maintain an active awareness of the important news and events involving them.
Manage and track rating and financial data in donor records
