If so, Outdoor Industry Association is looking for a social media coordinator to grow our social presence, increase our engagement and social interactions and help convert interactions to leads, customers, active fans and amplifiers of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a knack for driving social conversations, responding to interactions in a professional, yet fun manner, possess strong knowledge of best practices and trends in social media marketing and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.

Social Media Content Planning, Strategy, and Development
Build and manage the company’s social media platforms and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram
Develop holistic social campaigns that drive results against business goals.
Create shareable content highlighting OIA's three pillars - appropriate for specific networks to increase the reach of the OIA brand, our content, and activations.
Work with OIA’s marketing team to generate new ideas and creative campaigns.
Work alongside other social marketers and content producers in the outdoor industry to help distribute content that educates, entertains our activates the outdoor industry.
Represent OIA with Key Audiences
Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our organization, members, and industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us.
Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach OIA’s target audiences.
Campaign Management and Analytics
Collaboratively develop social strategy to support content campaigns
Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success, ranging from Twitter chats, Instagram takeovers, Facebook live broadcasts, to LinkedIn conversations.
Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from OIA’s social network presence.
Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
Currently working in or familiar with outdoor industry
Advocacy and policy social campaign experience
Experience with member based organization
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
Proficiency in marketing/membership/sales lead generation
Exceptional traditional writing and grammatical skills and a “flair” for using conversational language fitting for each social network.
Knowledge of digital and social tools: Google Analytics, HootSuite, Sprout Social, Later, etc.
Strong knowledge in FTP clients, Wordpress, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Analytics.
Ability to create and manipulate graphics to support social campaigns using basic skills in Adobe Photoshop
Knowledge and/or experience in the outdoor industry.
BONUS, not required:
Experience with content marketing and production.
Skilled in graphic and social video production; Adobe CS
Experience or knowledge in Pardot or equivalent Marketing Automation software.
