The University of the South invites applications for a two-year residential postdoctoral fellowship in public history with a focus on the study of the U.S. South. The position will be affiliated with a newly instituted Southern Studies program, funded by a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The position, which carries the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, starts in August 2019.
Teaching responsibilities are two courses per year; additional duties include development and implementation of public history and digital humanities projects that support and enhance the new southern studies program.
