Fresno State Athletics Department is accepting applications for an 11-month (July - May) graphic design internship within the Fresno State Athletics Marketing Office. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and will have oversight by the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations.
This internship is designed to expose the individual to all aspects of Intercollegiate Athletics, including the coordination of all phases of publicity for several of Fresno State’s nationally competitive men and women’s sports programs.
Design and produce all publications branding Fresno State Athletics including but not limited to: billboards, posters, game programs, brochures, graphics, in-game slides, social media features, digital marketing, motion graphics, video components and facility branding.
Coordinate and organize all graphic needs to produce creative and high-quality designs by assigned deadlines.
Fulfill all graphics needs of the department including the overall brand, look and feel of all sport teams.
Contribute to the management and promotion of the nationally recognized logo/brand and the production of presentation materials for the promotion of the department and recruitment of potential student-athletes
Assist with digital initiatives including content production and management of gobulldogs.com, the official website of the department, social media initiatives, video production and video-board productions
Assist in the day-to-day promotion and branding of Fresno State Athletics by working with marketing and other external units to develop and implement a consistent and effective graphics strategy
Assist in photography at sporting events and staged shoots as assigned.
Represent the University and Department of Athletics in a professional manner.
Other duties will be assigned as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience in graphic design (athletics or business)
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects
Knowledge of general graphic design principles, typography and color theory
Knowledge of current social and digital media trends and specifications
Ability to interpret and utilize brand standards
Excellent writing, editing and typing skills
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and driven
Quick decision making and problem solving skills.
