The role encompasses product propositions and vehicles for both retail and institutional clients.
The role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and engage with a large cross-section of global stakeholders; clients, distributors, sales, operations, marketing, investments, legal, and compliance in developing and coordinating product development initiatives.
The role holder will continue to lead an integrated global product development approach through the product lifecycle from initial strategy and research, through proposition development and launch, to post launch review.
Aligned to the corporate and Product strategy, lead the new product development process E2E including evaluating and proposing new product ideas with stakeholders across the business
Actively contribute to Product Strategy and input into Asset Class Strategy agendas
Gain insight and understanding of customer trends, market movements, regulatory requirements and competitor activities
Work collaboratively across the business to ensure that the product development process and governance processes delivering objective risk/reward analysis in all business cases
Project manage product proposals from idea generation stage through the applied research and product design stages and through the internal governance process
Ensure all proposals are approved by requisite committees and boards before they are implemented and remain responsible for the development until the product launches
Maintain management information and complete ad hoc administrative activities
Provide support to the US and Asia-Pacific product development teams in relation to funds/feeders involving European investment vehicles
Identify and act on information to improve the efficiency of the client's product range
Experience & Knowledge;
Technical knowledge of pooled fund structures including UCITS and non-UCITS across a range of domiciles preferably Ireland, Luxembourg and the UK
Investment strategies and suitable product vehicles and structures
Financial, market and competitor analysis
The fund management industry and the impact of the compliance and regulatory environment in which our client operates
Business processes and procedures, and the product development lifecycle
Ideally the candidate will have attained the IMC, and (desirable) CFA, CAIA, MSCI or other asset management or financial markets qualification(s)
