The primary responsibility for this position is managing software implementations. Individuals in this position are responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering projects for Clay Electric related systems and solutions in order to promote the highest quality of customer service and efficiency.
Essential Job Functions of this position include: Support Management. Provide consultation to management and stakeholders on project initiatives as well as potential impacts to other systems or initiatives. Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project. Determine project changes and provide proposed strategies to drive projects towards successful completion. Support Users. Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed towards the best solution. Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members. Explore opportunities to add value to user desired outcomes. Communicate. Keep all affected parties informed of project progress, changes in plans, system changes and issues, etc. Support Projects. Provide support for major and minor information and communication technology projects. Develop, monitor and revise project work plans and schedules. Execute plans, including managing system testing, engineering support, user training and other tasks required for overall project success. Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with a large number of employees, without direct authority. Support Team. Support project management activities, resources, equipment and information. Work with the Project Manager to identify and eliminate road-blocks which may impede project completion. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports. Analyst. Create, manage and disburse reports related to the project status Leadership. Provide leadership and direction to other assigned resources in a matrix environment in pursuit of a project. Examples of assigned resources include contractors, consultants, vendors and other CEC employees.
The Minimum Training and Experience required for this position is: This position requires a two (2) year college degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience coordinating or managing small-to-medium-sized projects.
This position requires certification as a CompTIA Project+ to be obtained within twelve (12) months from the date of employment.
Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver’s license.
Substitution Related experience may be substituted for required education on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this position include:
Experience with Microsoft Office toolset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio). Experience coordinating internal resources and third parties / vendors. Basic functional knowledge of IT systems commonly used by electric cooperatives. Understanding of the integration of business process across an organization. Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management. Demonstrates ability to maintain multiple projects and priorities at one time and effectively finish projects in a timely manner. Ensure that project deliverables are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex business applications and requirements such that all stakeholders understand relevance to their needs. Track project performance and report about any possible or current “roadblocks”, risks, impacts to budget time or scope. Assist in the definition of objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
