As the Application and Data Integration Lead, you are responsible for building integration-centric offerings that include both application and data. You will closely work with members of the Enterprise Information Management team, Application Development Teams, and The Information as an Asset Program team with the ultimate goal of supporting business leaders across the enterprise to make timely business decisions. You will be part of a high-performance integration team focusing on driving innovation and improving delivery effectiveness in an environment of growing demand for real-time data integration across a diverse mix of technologies, protocols, standards and platforms.
Your core responsibilities include:
Integration Architecture - Technology, Process and Governance:
Design and create integration architectures, roadmaps, and system transition plans to align business, applications, data, integration, and/or infrastructure architecture.
Collaborate with project teams and business users to create architecture artifacts (for example, logical, conceptual, physical) to guide detailed design.
Provide guidance into the development of the integration strategy and technology direction by providing domain knowledge on solutions and technology.
Educate others throughout the organization on the function of architecture methodologies, governance, and standards by serving as a domain guide across business and/or IT teams, and presenting to internal and external audiences.
Integration Development Projects:
Design and develop integration solutions between cloud and custom, on-premises applications and sunset existing point-to-point integrations
Identify and implement internal controls and technological improvements to data and information processing systems.
Design data models that support modern data analytics business requirements and current trends in Data Management
Assess impacts of changes in order to develop optimal solutions to benefit the organization.
Collaborates with IT and business leadership and participates in making decisions regarding the adoption of new technologies.
Promote processes and practices that advance data quality across the lifecycle.
BS Degree in Information Science or other related fields
Five years of experience as a senior Integration specialist or lead on at least one major integration project
Extensive skills in a broad range of integration concerns, including but not limited to: Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Integration / iPaaS, ESB and SOA service based Integration, messaging systems, legacy Integration
Experience in design and delivery of integration architectures
Experience with database concepts, Information Management, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Integration technologies
Experience with software development in Agile lifecycles
Demonstrable experience in the elicitation & specification of architectural and non-functional requirements
Shown knowledge governance practices, business and technology issues related to data quality, storage, protection and dissemination.
Ability to research independently and become rapidly familiar with changing/new technologies and trends, assess innovation for institutional benefits and impact.
Strong initiative to keep up-to-date with new technologies as well as new and changing data governance guidelines and standards as implemented by regulatory bodies.
Good communication & influencing skills with ability to lead teams and deliver creative, but realistic, solutions to complex client problems
Shown architectural and delivery experience of at least two Integration (cloud / on-premise) solutions (e.g. Informatica, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Oracle OSB etc)
Understanding, appreciation and preferably some implementation experience of API Management toolsets and the use of APIs to underpin the Digital revolution
Experience with business analytics and MDM in a diverse Enterprise environment such as Financials, HR, CRM, Research, Advancement and Student Information System.
Deep understanding of data modeling across relational, star/dimensional or other emerging approaches. Experience in data mapping and transformation
Familiarity with incorporating non-database sources, such as XML, JSON, etc., into Data Marts
Knowledge of Data Lakes, Hadoop, or other raw data storage and archival methodologies
Experience in a non-profit organization environment
Preferred Education: Master's in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
