The Corporate IS Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate System Administrator-Cerner Production Management.
Reporting to senior technical staff, the Associate System Administrator-Cerner Production Management, supports the implementation of UHS monitoring and maintenance processes. Monitors the resolution of maintenance and enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Works with CernerWorks technical resources to report issues and manage incidents using CA ServiceDesk and Cerner's eService system. Implements modifications of existing system processes that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Participates in Fusion Integration Production meetings and tracks system changes to ensure that they are performed in a safe, controlled manner. Acts as a technical resource for device management, monitoring and problem alerting. Provides technical support to other teams in IS and to other UHS entities as needed. Shares experience with other members of extended Core team, and with the wider installed base of Cerner clients at Cerner sponsored conferences and user groups as allowed by UHS Leadership and UHS Policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
Communicates with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications and automate monitoring processes.
Supports the implementation of applications and prepares the appropriate documentation and training materials.
Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application/monitor development life cycle.
Performs Q/A on application functionality, and any custom developed scripts or solutions.
Researches and resolves system management and technical support-related Customer Support Center Tickets.
Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to Supervisor.
Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion.
Assists in training Corporate and Facility users in application use/procedures as needed.
Designs solutions for monitoring and troubleshooting applications, prepares the appropriate documentation, and trains Corporate and Facility staff as required.
Assists in recommending application solutions to meet business needs.
Constructs and schedules automated processes, using backend systems programming and SSIS packages.
Actively contributes to on-going process improvement.
Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.
Provides on-call support as scheduled.
Works with other I.S. teams to gather specifications for new automation processes and commits such specifications to the production Engineering knowledgebase.
Troubleshoots and resolves customer technical problems of various complexities such as code defects, process failures, application configurations, networking, peripherals or other issues commonly encountered.
Sets up and configures application settings, device settings and permissions
Updates knowledgebase as issues are discovered and resolved.
