PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Drive the search marketing efforts across SEM and SEO platforms to ensure the firm appears in top search results and referring website traffic cost effectively scales quality lead volume and overall channel performance. Additionally, this role will support the firm’s email marketing initiatives on an as needed basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands-on management of the firm’s paid and organic search marketing programs including analytics, technical audits, on-site and off-site optimizations
Perform initial keyword research and establish bidding strategies. Oversee paid search (SEM) and retargeted display advertising marketing channels across Adwords, Bing, retargeting and other pay-per-click (PPC) and social platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. Promote SEM best practices while optimizing account performance through analytics, testing, and experimentation.
Work with the Marketing team and other in-house resources to identify ways to increase website traffic and move users through the digital journey as efficiently as possible to convert visitors to leads and/or customers.
Optimize entire Userpath including referring campaigns, content, layout and functionality of product pages, landing pages, lead forms and confirmation pages to scale quality traffic volume and conversion rates. Work closely with designers and front-end developers to execute website optimization projects, including A/B and multivariate tests.
Work closely with back-end web developers on technical SEO projects. Effectively integrate SEO best practices within the entire content production process across an array of assets.
Use Google Analytics to capture key site performance metrics that measure, test and optimize our channel marketing KPIs including landing page click-to-lead conversion rates while promoting a stellar user experience.
Compile, review and communicate daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly qualitative and quantitative reports on search marketing performance, driving actionable insights for future optimization efforts; communicate best practices and share lessons learned.
Leverage data trends to optimize spend and performance of all search marketing activities.
Provide analytical support for forecasting of daily/weekly/monthly channel campaign metrics against established goals and mitigating risks to plans
Involvement in tactical execution of emails when needed
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
General curiosity and excitement to solve problems
Love search marketing and building digital marketing programs from the ground-up
Hands-on search marketing operator capable of working independently
4-6 years proven hands-on experience managing SEO and SEM (both strategizing and implementing) from scratch
Robust understanding of the Google AdWords ad platform;
Strong analytical skills and proficiency working with Excel
Proficient with Google Tag Manager
General understanding of customer segmentation and campaign personalization
Performance marketing, A/B and/or multi-variate testing, campaign and content optimization
Detail-oriented with exceptional program and project management skills
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization from external vendors to senior leadership
Working knowledge of Pardot and/or other email platforms and Salesforce desired, HTML coding experience a huge plus
Strong team player with initiative, a positive attitude and proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
General knowledge of the financial services and/or asset management industry a plus.
