The role and support of the CRHD Project Manager (Project Policy Analyst 3) is vital to accomplishing the mission of the Center for Reducing Health Disparities (CRHD).REQUIRED-Demonstrated experience managing large community health and research projects.-Demonstrated experience managing annual budgets.-Experience in community outreach and engagement, particularly working in underserved and hard to access communities.-Experience with community-based participatory research methods and qualitative methods (i.e., conducting focus groups), data collection and analysis, and grant writing.-Excellent writing skills with the ability to prepare written materials of a diverse nature using correct grammar, effective diction, correct spelling, and appropriate form to establish good rapport with the general public, co-workers, physicians, patients, caregivers, staff, and other health care professionals.-Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and MS-Project Professional. -Analytical skills to solve complex problems and to investigate various sources of information and develop acceptable solutions.-Administrative skills to independently and proficiently assume responsibility for coordination and completion of complex projects requiring interactions with numerous parties. -Knowledge of regulatory agencies and requirements including IRB approvals and renewals and the process of informed consent and HIPAA guidelines.PREFERRED-Masters of Public Health.-Bi-lingual in Spanish.-Experience in an academic environment.-Experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of community-based participatory research, population based research, program evaluation research, and/or cultural competency training.-Skills in identification of appropriate community based health research metrics and outcome measures, and program evaluation.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT-Ability to occasionally work outside of regular business hours (evenings/weekends) and in other locations for project events.-Ability to travel frequently between UCDMC campus (Sacramento), Santa Rosa, Oakland, and other cities in California for program activities and support.-THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
