Under minimal supervision, functions in the area of Accounts Payable as it relates to the project management and facility management service lines including General Ledger exposure. Assists as necessary in all functions related to this area. This function also includes lead responsibilities. Responsible for conducting and documenting simple to moderate standard financial analysis, coding invoices in the manner consistent with the client process and adhoc finance projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes and verifies invoices for completeness and arithmetic accuracy of accounting documents and makes adjustments.
Assures invoices and documents are being processed and included in the appropriate accounting period.
Verifies and posts details of business transactions per the appropriate process.
Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports.
Communicates unresolved vendor/invoice issues and reporting to the appropriate Supervisor.
Supports senior staff in varied areas of financial analysis including one or all of the following: standard monthly management reporting and variance analyses, budgeting and forecasting.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university. Minimum of three years Accounts Payable work experience. Project Management Accounts Payable experience a plus.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information to supervisors and finance management.
Requires knowledge of basic financial terms, concepts and accounting principles.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial information and the ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications. Requires intermediate analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). JDE/R-Cash/P2P or Planon experience a plus. Strong work ethic , adaptable and a positive can do attitude.
