Departmental Overview Facilities Services works to maintain a campus built environment that is conducive to teaching, learning and research. We strive to continuously improve the campus in partnership with all members of the campus community. Facilities Services is comprised of the following units: Campus Recycling and Refuse Services, Custodial Services, Environmental Services, Grounds Operations, Shops, Quality Assurance & Customer Service, Sustainability and Engineering Services and People's Park.
Applies IT concepts to perform complex analyses and functions from multiple IT areas of specialization.
Mobile Device Management (MDM): Provisions and deploys mobile devices in MDM system for department users.
Responds to and resolves support tickets for mobile device issues.
Uses the MDM solution to provide reports on device statistics, device audits, and inventory.
Updates documentation and procedures as needed for mobile device deployment and support.
Inventory Management: Manages IT asset inventory. Monitors and recommends workstation and related equipment replacement schedules.
Orders new equipment (with approval), configures and coordinates deployment with internal and/or Shared Services staff.
Monitors, documents, and disposes of retired assets per department, campus and UC policies and procedures.
Project Management: Manages small- to medium-sized departmental IT projects, which may include (but not limited to) key distribution systems, facilities database systems, network and security infrastructure upgrades, and client OS upgrades.
Prepares system and user documentation.
Maintains security configurations in coordination with systems administration team.
Analyzes, installs, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software.
Analyzes business problems to be solved with automated systems that support departmental operations.
Provides backup for systems administration team within the unit, as needed.
May recommend changes in development, maintenance, system standards and application support processes.
May train FS staff users on use of vendor and in-house system(s).
Applies IT concepts to perform complex analyses and functions from multiple IT areas of specialization
Must have 4 years or more experience supporting Facilities related systems or direct IT support person performing configurations, upgrades, and deployments.
Enterprise level experience with iOS and Android mobile device configuration
Experience with Apple configuration and deployment programs
Experience with IBM Maximo desktop and mobile applications
Change oriented - actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
Has knowledge of professional concepts.
Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner across the organization and at varying levels both verbally and through technical documentation.
Has knowledge of applications programming technologies, tools and protocols.
Has skills necessary to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Enterprise level experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for iOS platform
Salary & Benefits This is an exempt, monthly paid position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience within the range of $90,000.00 - $105,200.00.
